Windows 11 is finally changing volume bar design and it looks better now

Windows 11 changed the way we knew our operating system PC for years. The new designs, all excellent, have given new life to PCs, especially since everything was redesigned from the ground up.

But there were still a few things that reminded us of the past, the Windows 8 era. The volume bar is one such thing and Windows 11 will eventually change that, too. Microsoft has announced a new volume indicator for Windows 11.

The new volume index is very compatible with the current Windows theme. The volume flyout will now appear in the middle when you press the volume buttons to adjust the setting on your PC.
“These new flyouts will appear when you press the volume or light buttons on your laptop and will honor the light / dark mode so you can keep up with Windows,” said Amanda Langowski, chief operating officer of Microsoft Windows Insider.
Windows 11The new volume bar is a little better than the old one, which came as part of Windows 8 back in 2012. Microsoft said that Windows 11 will bring a much larger design conversion, so things like minutes like volume bar are important.
It is also an acceptable change because flyouts, such as those for system volume, brightness, and other settings, create a complete sense of the operating system.
In a blog post, Langowski also mentioned the new call information in your open-source Windows operating system Windows 11. The icons look flat and the fonts are also new, depending on the screenshot of the new interface.
There are other upcoming versions of Windows 11, too. For example, touch keyboard themes will appear on emoji panels and in every other input area, and the clock app will now be rolled out inside Windows 11.
Pressing the Win + X key or right-clicking on the first icon will now say “Apps installed” instead of “Apps and features” in the menu. If you ever wanted to pin down the voice access tool in the taskbar or start menu, you will be able to do that with a future update. There are also a number of Windows 11 update updates, noted by Langowski in a blog post.
All new features are currently available in Windows Insider through Windows 11 Internal Preview Build 22533. This means that not all Windows 11 can access new features.
Microsoft has moved on to a cycle where it will release one major update per year and smaller ones throughout the year. But I am not sure if these features will be available as part of a small or large update. There is no explicit release date, but you can expect these features to arrive sometime this year.

This new update can make Windows 11 run better on lower-end devices

Microsoft is working on a new update to Windows 11 that will help users use the latest operating system on current and affordable computers, reports Techradar.
The Windows 11 Build 22526 is currently available to members of the Insider access system and comes with many enhancements and improvements.
Although many new enhancements are minor, Microsoft is using this new format to try a new file location identification system. The software giant hopes that this new program will help users find important files using File Explorer very quickly.
The recent release of Windows 11 comes with a few new performance enhancements, however, File Explorer (which is a very important feature) is very slow and still crashes. One of the most notable problems is the slow pace of the Search function.
This operation seems to take a long time to restore the relevant search, especially if you have stored a large number of files in the built-in database.
This new update is expected to help users navigate large files faster, which will ultimately improve productivity. In addition, it will be very useful for users who will be running Windows 11 on cheap and up-to-date devices. Budget devices with weak computer systems often face longer lead times and lower performance.
Better file identification is not the only development that will be released in the future Windows 11 update. The report adds that further improvements are expected to include extensive speech support that will improve the quality of voice calls when using products such as Apple Airpods.
This new update is expected to come with a new “window” program for popular Alt + Tab functionality.
In the meantime, Microsoft has implemented its Guaranteed Security Service for all business users as an automated service. This function protects important data under a security-based security layer.
Considering the new version of the latest OS is only available to developers, it is not clear when the new features will be introduced to the public. However, these are all promising features for users who are struggling with File Explorers-related issues, especially for low-end devices.

Samsung to launch new Exynos chip with AMD graphics in January: All we know

Samsung began working with chipmaker AMD back in 2019 to acquire a new Exynos chipset with AMD graphics. The new chip was supposed to be launched in two years and now, the company has confirmed the launch of the new chipset.
A new tweet created by Samsung Exynos Twitter handle states that the company will launch its first AMD RDNA2-powered chip on January 11, 2022.
The new chip was also easily unveiled ahead of the much-anticipated Galaxy S22 phone series, which is expected to be launched in February. This suggests that the new S22 flagship phones could come with the new AMD GPU-powered silicon.
“The sports market is going to be tough. Stay tuned for the next #Exynos with a new GPU born from RDNA 2. January 11, 2022, ”the tweet said. Check it out below.

“#PlaytimeIsOver. The gaming marketplace is about to get serious. Stay tuned for the next #Exynos with the new GPU born from RDNA 2. January 11, 2022. pic.twitter.com/0H2MeVUbeS

— Samsung Exynos (@SamsungExynos) December 30, 2021 “
What is RDNA?
RDNA refers to the development of Radeon Graphics, first seen in the company Radeon RX 5000 GPUs. The new RDNA 2 GPU technology is as powerful as the Sony PlayStation 5 and the Microsoft Xbox Series S / X. Also available on photo cards for the new Radeon RX 6000 series.
The technology that comes with a mobile chipset can be a major step forward for mobile games, which can now be opened up to much greater opportunities compared to current Adreno images.
However, whether new chips can be added to the S22 series, including the Note-like S22 Ultra or the latest flags remains to be seen.
Although the new S22 phones come with a new Exynos chip, we do not know which regions the new chip will be available in this year.
An earlier report suggested that the South Korean company could make Snapdragon versions of its phones available in many regions from this year, including India, where Samsung flags were traditionally made available with Exynos internal chips.

Apple set to cut iPhone production goals due to chip crunch

Apple Inc. is likely to slash its projected iPhone 13 production targets for 2021 by as many as 10 million units as prolonged chip shortages hit its flagship product, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

The company had expected to produce 90 million new iPhone models in the last three months of the year, but it’s now telling manufacturing partners that the total will be lower because Broadcom Inc. and Texas Instruments Inc. are struggling to deliver enough components, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the situation is private.
The technology giant is one of the world’s largest chip buyers and sets the annual rhythm for the electronics supply chain. But even with strong buying power, Apple is grappling with the same supply disruptions that have wreaked havoc on industries around the world. Major chipmakers have warned that demand will continue to outpace supply throughout next year and potentially beyond.
Apple gets display parts from Texas Instruments, while Broadcom is its longtime supplier of wireless components. One TI chip in short supply for the latest iPhones is related to powering the OLED display. Apple also is facing component shortages from other suppliers.
Apple and TI representatives declined to comment. Broadcom didn’t respond to a request for comment.
Apple shares slipped as much as 1.6% to $139.27 in late trading after Bloomberg reported on the news. The stock was up 6.6% this year through Tuesday’s close. Broadcom and TI also dipped in after-hours trading.
The shortages have already weighed on Apple’s ability to ship new models to customers. The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max went on sale in September, but orders won’t be delivered from Apple’s website for about a month. And the new devices are listed as “currently unavailable” for pickup at several of the company’s retail stores. Apple’s carrier partners are also seeing similar shipment delays.
Current orders are slated to ship around mid-November, so Apple could still get the new iPhones to consumers in time for the crucial holiday season. The year-end quarter is expected to be Apple’s biggest sales blitz yet, generating about $120 billion in revenue. That would be up about 7% from a year earlier — and more money than Apple made in an entire year a decade ago.
Apple’s woes show that even the king of the tech world isn’t immune from global shortages made worse by the pandemic. In addition to facing tight iPhone availability, the company has struggled to make enough of the Apple Watch Series 7 and other products.
Earlier this year, Apple warned that it would face supply constraints of the iPhone and iPad during the quarter that ended in September. The Cupertino, California-based company cited the global chip shortages at the time. That period included about a week and a half of iPhone 13 revenue.
Broadcom doesn’t have major factories of its own and relies on contract chipmakers like Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. to build its products. Texas Instruments makes some chips in-house but also relies on outside manufacturing. That means their part of an increasingly challenging fight to secure production capacity at TSMC and other foundries. Apple is a TSMC client itself — in fact, it’s the company’s largest. Apple uses the manufacturer to make its A-series processors, but they don’t appear to be under threat of shortages for now.
There are signs the chip crunch is getting worse. Lead times in the industry — the gap between putting in a semiconductor order and taking delivery — rose for the ninth month in a row to an average of 21.7 weeks in September, according to Susquehanna Financial Group.
To help untangle supply chain snarls, the U.S. Department of Commerce is asking global chipmakers to respond to a set of questionnaires by Nov. 8, but that effort is facing resistance from lawmakers and executives in Taiwan and South Korea.
US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo tweeted earlier this week about a proposed $52 billion plan to support chip manufacturing in the US Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida also said he will work on establishing a chip production base in his country.
Separately, a protracted energy crisis in China may add to the iPhone maker’s headaches. Apple supplier TPK Holding Co. said last week that subsidiaries in the southeastern Chinese province of Fujian are modifying their production schedule due to local government power restrictions. That comes less than two weeks after iPhone assembler Pegatron Corp. adopted energy-saving measures amid government-imposed power curbs.

On Amazon, the iPhone 12 Pro has a slightly higher discount and the price is shown as Rs 1,06,900. The older iPhone 12’s 128GB version is listed at Rs 78,950, while the iPhone 11 starts at Rs 51,999. So yes, the prices are higher than what Apple’s official store is showing.
If your plan is to pick up an older iPhone, the iPhone 12 or iPhone 11 are your best bet. But wait for the festive sales to see if more offers are added.

Windows 11 release date set for October 5, no Android app support at launch

Windows 11 is coming as a free upgrade to everyone using genuine Windows 10 on October 5. That will be the stable build of Windows that is likely not to come with bugs and issues, unlike that beta version that some people have been using for some time.
Besides the bugs, the stable Windows 11 may also not come with an important feature: support for Android apps. Microsoft said that Android apps will be available on Windows 11 in the coming months, which means users will not be able to use TikTok or Instagram on their PCs for a few initial months.
“We look forward to continuing our journey to bring Android apps to Windows 11 and the Microsoft Store through our collaboration with Amazon and Intel; this will start with a preview for Windows Insiders over the coming months,” Aaron Woodman, general manager of Windows marketing at Microsoft, said in a blog post.
This means that the support for Android apps on Windows 11 through Amazon Appstore will arrive for Insiders first and then it will be rolled out to everyone using stable builds.
Microsoft has not said what it implies with “coming months”, but it is likely going to be sometime in 2022 since the rollout of Windows 11 is starting in October in a phased manner.
At the launch of Windows 11, Microsoft highlighted native support for Android apps as one of the biggest features that are coming to the next OS version for PCs. It indeed is, because, even though people have been able to use Android apps on their PCs using emulators, they have never been able to run them natively.
Running an app natively brings a lot more stability along with the entire host of features from the app developer. Microsoft said there will be over 500,000 apps in the Amazon Appstore, including TikTok, Instagram, Uber, Lyft, among others.
Android apps are crucial for Microsoft’s new operating system because people are using their mobile phones a lot more in synergy with their PCs. Apple’s ecosystem of Macs, MacBooks, and iPhones already works wonders, but there has been no robust alternative to that so far for the Windows ecosystem.
The Windows-based smartphones are dead for good, so everything lies in Android, which is the world’s most popular mobile operating system. Microsoft is still now allowing Google Play Store on Windows 11: it never will because Google is also in the PC business through its Chromebooks that run Android apps seamlessly — something Microsoft wants for its Windows 11-running PCs.

Rolling out the free upgrade to Windows 11 in a phased and measured approach

The free upgrade to Windows 11 starts on October 5 and will be phased and measured with a focus on quality. Following the tremendous learnings from Windows 10, we want to make sure we’re providing you with the best possible experience.

That means new eligible devices will be offered the upgrade first. The upgrade will then roll out over time to in-market devices based on intelligence models that consider hardware eligibility, reliability metrics, age of the device, and other factors that impact the upgrade experience.

We expect all eligible devices to be offered the free upgrade to Windows 11 by mid-2022. If you have a Windows 10 PC that’s eligible for the upgrade, Windows Update will let you know when it’s available. You can also check to see if Windows 11 is ready for your device by going to Settings > Windows Update and select Check for updates*.

Apple’s iPhone 13 will support satellite connectivity, says Ming-Chi Kuo

Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 13 next month, but there’s one particular feature that got us excited. As reported by Apple analysts Ming-Chi Kuo and MacRumors, the iPhone 13 may come with a feature that will allow you to make satellite calls using a smartphone. If this is true, users will be able to make calls and send messages in areas where connectivity is lacking.
Traditionally, satellite phones allow you to make calls by radio through orbiting satellites, rather than terrestrial cell sites, as cellphones do.
One of the main benefits of using a satellite phone is the ability to make calls in most geographic locations on the Earth’s surface because the device is not limited to areas covered by cell towers.
The analyst believes that the iPhone 13 will pack a customized Qualcomm X60 baseband chip that will allow it to connect directly to low Earth orbit (or LEO) satellites.
Apple is expected to unveil four models including the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, and iPhone 13 mini. The iPhone 13 is expected to be powered by the A15 Bionic chipset and will likely feature a similar design to the iPhone 12 series.
The iPhone 13 Mini Edition may pack a compact 5.4-inch display. Standard and Pro models may sport a 6.1-inch screen.
The iPhone 13 Pro Max is likely to feature a bigger 6.7-inch screen. As far as the battery is concerned, the iPhone 13 mini will have a 2,406 mAh battery, the iPhone 13 and its Pro variant will have a 3,095 mAh battery. The more expensive variant, the iPhone 13 Pro Max, could pack a 4,352mAh battery.
According to Wedbush analyst Dan Ives, Apple may launch the iPhone next month on September 14. This claim is also supported by an e-commerce listing seen on the Chinese micro-blogging platform Weibo.
The listing suggests that the iPhone 13 may go up for pre-orders on September 17th, which coincides well with the launch date of September 14th as phones often go on pre-orders in a few days after the launch event. go.
