Oppo could launch first Snapdragon 870-powered smartphone soon

Oppo may call dibs on one of the next generation chipsets that Qualcomm will launch this December. Qualcomm hosted an event in December to announce the launch of the Snapdragon 875 chipset.
But the less powerful Snapdragon 870 chipset is also said to be tagged. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC may be available for use on Oppo’s phone first if new rumors are passed.
According to a reliable tipster running the Digital Chat Station, Oppo is working on a device that will be powered by an unannounced Snapdragon 870 processor.
This chipset is said to deliver clock speeds of up to 3.2GHz, which seems to be much less than what the Snapdragon 865 offers. much is known about the Snapdragon 870 processor.
Oppo joined the flagship club with its Find X series two years ago, packing the best hardware at a price that normally lowers Samsung and other competitors.
Now that there have been rumors that Oppo is powered by a Snapdragon 870-enabled phone, it will be interesting to see what this could be. It could be the Find X3 while the Find X3 Pro could pack a Snapdragon 875 processor.
It could be one of the Ace series phones available in China. But I have no doubt that the Reno series will find this out.
Apart from Oppo, there may be other manufacturers and may use the Snapdragon 870 processor. Xiaomi, Realme, and even OnePlus may bring their own smartphones running on this processor, but this is just speculation.
Nothing set in stone yet. Oppo will still confirm whether you are partnering with Qualcomm on a special purchase of the Snapdragon 870 processor.

What is Wi-Fi Calling?
Simply put, Wi-Fi calling or VoWiFi allows you to make and receive voice and video calls over a Wi-Fi connection instead of using your cellular connection. It helps customers to make or receive calls where cellular services are weak or unavailable.
In India, Wi-Fi calling support currently works with Airtel or Reliance Jio SIM cards.
To check the availability of Wi-Fi calling on your Oppo phone, go to Settings> Dual SIM and Mobile Network> and see if the Wi-Fi calling option is available. If available, users can enable it by pressing Wi-Fi calling and then selecting the “Priority for Wi-Fi calling” option.
