Microsoft to Introduce Some Windows 11 Features in Windows 10: Report
Microsoft is reportedly bringing printing options from Windows 11 to Windows 10. The new printing feature is supposed to introduce the ability to add a PIN to a print job. This step is to be added to avoid duplicate connections and incorrect printouts. The update is said to be part of the Windows 10 version 22H2 update. Last month it was announced that Microsoft was moving to a new development plan for Windows. Windows 11 is also reportedly getting a feature called “Privacy Audit” that will help users look at apps that are accessing their microphone, camera, and location data.
According to a recent Windows Latest report, Microsoft is bringing Windows 11 printing capabilities to Windows 10 as part of its Windows 10 version 22H2 update. This is said to include features that were exclusive to Windows 11, including the ability to add a PIN to a print job. This feature is expected to help avoid duplicate connections and incorrect prints.
As mentioned earlier, Microsoft has reportedly switched to a new development plan for the Windows operating system. The company is expected to return to its traditional three-year cycle, which could mean the next major version could be released in 2024. That version could be Windows 12 if the company chooses to stick with its current naming trend, according to the news. Microsoft is also expected to double down on releasing new features for the current version of Windows.
To recall, Windows 11 is said to be getting a feature called ‘Privacy Auditing’ which will help users take a look at the apps that are accessing their microphone, camera, and location data. Microsoft initially introduced this feature to app developers for testing. However, it will be available in the future for Windows 11 users to decide whether they should continue to use apps that track their sensitive data on the system.
