According to the Geekbench listing, the Lava Z66 is powered by a 1.20GHz octa-core Unisoc processor with model number sp9863a_3c10, although the chipset name is unknown. According to the listing, the device scored 153 in single-core and 809 in multi-core.
The Lava Z66 runs on Android 10, with no skin on top. Previous offerings of Lava lacked a customized interface, although it was found to be full of bloatware applications. The smartphone is also said to have 3GB RAM.
The development comes at a time when the recent Galvan River Valley clash between India and China has clouded social media with an anti-China sentiment.

Micromax, another Indian smartphone maker, is worried that it will soon be making “Made for India” and “Made in India” smartphones. One report states that the brand will have three smartphones, mostly posted in the budget and mid-range.
Micromax is taking advantage of setbacks on Chinese products to draw public attention to its upcoming products. However, it has been previously reported that Micromax is returning smartphones from Chinese brands and selling them under different names in India.
