Xiaomi recently reported the launch of a new phone by independent brand Poco in the next 20 to 25 days. This has been confirmed by none other than Poco India General Manager C Manmohan in a recent interview.
Poco X2 was recently launched in the country earlier this year, and now the company is preparing to launch another smartphone in the Indian market.
The next Poco
Given China’s growing sentiment among citizens, Poco has been stressing about its establishment in the country recently.
Its Twitter account is full of confirmation about being an Indian brand, and how it was born in Delhi two years ago.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Manmohan said that a new Poco device will be launched in India in the next 20 to 25 days.
“We are definitely going to launch a new phone soon … We want to make sure that the philosophy that we bring to different price categories,” he said.
While there is no clarity as to which phone can be launched, the company can bring Poco F2 Pro in India.
This phone was launched in Europe last month and now it can be launched in India soon. The company is also working on a new phone called Poco M2 Pro and it may be launched in India as well.
The phone was recently spotted on both the Wi-Fi Alliance and Bluetooth SIG sites. More clarity as to which device the company plans to launch soon, as teasers will begin to be released in the future.
Poco F2 Pro or Poco M2 Pro?
According to previous reports, it seems that Poco may be another smartphone in its repertoire that is ready for launch. The Poco M2 Pro was spotted on Xiaomi’s website some time ago and while taking down the listing, it hinted users about a new lineup in addition to the F and X range of smartphones.
Similarly, a rebonded Poco F2 Pro of Redmi K20 Pro was recently launched in global markets. Even that smartphone is rumored to have reached the Indian shores as a successor to the Poco F1, however, there is no concrete information around it yet.
In any case, the next month and a half will be very exciting for Indian consumers, spoiling them for choice as companies fall into overdrive after an epidemic-induced sluggish period. For Poco, let us wait for the official details about the upcoming Poco device.
Apart from the smartphone, Poco has also confirmed that it is working on launching its first truly wireless earphone – Poco Pop Buds in India.
So far, no details are available for Poco Pop Buds, but the company says it is one step closer to making its first truly wireless earphones a reality.
Poco Pop Buds will be the first audio product by the smartphone brand.
If the company were to launch the Poco F2 Pro, the price of the phone in Europe would be 499 euros (about Rs 41,500). Key features include a pop-up selfie camera and a quad rear camera setup.
The Poco F2 Pro also comes with the top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC. The Poco F2 Pro also comes with 5G support, and is essentially a rebranded version of the Redmi K30 Pro. Telecom brands Jio, Airtel and Vodafone have introduced new plans of late. While Airtel and Geo are launching new work from home plans, Vodafone has added additional benefits to its existing plans.
The coronavirus pandemic forced people to work from home, and even though the lockdown was lifted, some people are still working to prevent the virus from home.
Working from home means you need a good internet connection and sometimes your WiFi connection provides the bus. In these situations, you can turn your phone into a router when you recharge your phone numbers, which provides better data benefits.
In this article, we will talk about the 2GB data plan that Geo, Airtel and Vodafone offer every day. So check them out here.
Vodafone
Vodafone has three dedicated prepaid plans that offer 2GB of data per day for Rs 299, Rs449 and Rs 699. However, these plans now offer 4GB of data per day under the Vodafone Double Data offer, not 2. So let’s break this down for you. The plan of Rs 299 offers 4GB data per day, 100 SMS per day, unlimited calling and free membership to the Vodafone Play and streaming app G5. This plan is valid for 28 days. The Rs449 plan offers similar benefits, but is valid for 56 days and the Rs 699 plan is valid for 84 days. All plans offer a free membership to the G5 and Vodafone Play.
Reliance Jio
Of the three telecom brands, Reliance Jio has a maximum number of prepaid plans that offer 2GB of data per day. The company recently added two new annual plans to this list. So the plans are Rs.499, Rs444, Rs599, Rs2399 and Rs999. These plans come with different standard but offer 2GB of data per day. Plans include geo-to-geo unlimited calling and 100 SMS ship per day. Disney + Hotstar VIP also offers a free subscription of Rs. 2599 in the prepaid plan.
Airtel
Airtel has three prepaid plans that offer 2GB of data per day, ie Rs 298 and Rs. 349, Rs.449 and Rs.698 respectively. It is valid for 28 days. While the Rs449 plan offers similar benefits, it has a validity of 56 days and the Rs698 plan is valid for 84 days.
Is your Fitbit or Apple Watch detect a coronavirus infection before symptoms start? Investigators are increasingly looking at these devices and other items worn as an early warning system for a deadly virus. Last month, scientists at the West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute said they had created a digital platform that could detect COVID-19 symptoms up to three days before they could even use the Oura ring, the area of fitness and performance.
Researchers eye tech wearables as virus early warning system
The app developed by researchers uses artificial intelligence to predict the onset of COVID-19-related symptoms such as fever, cough, difficulty in breathing and fatigue, with 90 percent accuracy, according to the university. Investigators say the program could provide indications of human infection that have not yet shown any signs – helping to address one of the problems encountered and the outbreak of this deadly outbreak. Separately, the DRMps Research Institute has enrolled more than 30,000 people – and aims for more – in a similar study aimed at using wearables to find “preymptomatic” and asymptomatic people with COVID-19. Scriptps investigators had already pointed out the importance of being worn in predicting the flu in a study published in January in the British magazine The Lancet. Early indications suggest that the devices “can identify people who are presymptomatic but are still infected,” said Jennifer Radin, the pediatric pathologist leading the study. Looking for volunteers Radin told an online conference that discussed the findings that wearables are experiencing “subtle changes that indicate a decline in viral load” before symptoms start. Scriptps investigators say they hope to show that wearable data can be more reliable than temperature checks. “40% of people who come with COVID do not have the flu,” Radin said. “This is something that can be used to analyze people better than a temperature check.” Heart rate, for example, is a good indicator because it is often variable before infection, and can be accurately measured by many flavors. “We see these changes (in a heartbeat) four days before someone starts having the flu,” Radin said. Eric Topol, director of the Microsoft Center, said the idea of using wearables is promising because “more than 100 million Americans have smart watch or banditness” that can provide valuable information for researchers, but that getting good results “depends on getting big numbers” to choose academically. Evidation health startup California is currently embarking on a project to produce the first warning algorithm from clothing worn by 300 high-risk coronavirus contractors, with funding from the US government and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Luca Foschini, co-founder of Evidation and a senior data scientist, said the study aims to “find out exactly when people can get COVID-19 contracts, and enable them to intervene in real time to reduce the scope of the distribution and to look at the consequences.” A similar research effort is underway in Germany. From entertainment to medicine Recent studies highlight how some portable devices – developed initially for physical and recreational purposes – can be transformed into important health research. Apple has started studies on how its smartwatch can detect heart problems. And Fitbit has been working with 500 different projects in research on cancer, diabetes, respiratory, and other health issues. Scientists say the material may provide information on body temperature, heart and breathing, sleep and function patterns and other indicators that can be used as diagnostic tools. Researchers at Stanford University announced plans in April to participate in research on clothing items, in partnership with Scripps, COVID-19 and other diseases. “Smartwatches and other wearables make a lot of measurements per day – at least 250,000, which is what keeps them going.
